Sandra Medina Bocangel L.Ac, MAcOM, Dipl. OM (NCCAOM), MD (Mexico)

Sandra was born in Perú and grew up  part in Perú and México where she earned her  medical degree and completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  Practiced  medicine for over 14 years in Mexico City and  conducted clinical trials research in one of the best hospitals in Mexico City, National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubiran. After finishing her residency became interested in alternative medicine and started study Reiki and healing touch.

She moved to the United States and continued to work in research and public health, but also began to study acupuncture. After taking the course "Structural Acupuncture for Physicians" from Harvard Medical School with David Euler and Kiiko Matsumoto, decided to pursue a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture at AOMA in Austin, TX. She finished this training in three years and continue her continuing education with Kiiko Matsumoto also trained in the German Microsystem Approach.

Trained in Qi gong and Tai chi with Master Li and Dr Roger Jahnke

Her goal is to help patients on their journey for better health with a holistic approach blending her knowledge in Western medicine and Chinese Medicine using Kiiko Matsumoto acupuncture style abdominal-based palpation, moxibustion, Chinese Herbs, nutritional and lifestyle counseling and Qi gong.

Because of her medical background has a very good understanding of pain management, auto-immune disease, gastrointestinal, psycho-emotional disorders.
